The University Sector is organised as follows
An undergraduate degree(also called first degree or simplydegree) is a colloquial
term for an academic degree earned by a person who has completed undergraduate
courses. In the United States, it is usually offered at an institution of higher education,
such as a college or university.
The most common type of these undergraduate degrees are associate degree and bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree typically takes at least three or four years to complete. In some other educational systems, undergraduate education is post-secondary education up to the level of a master's degree; this is the case for some science courses in Britain and some long-cycle medicine courses in Europe.
These degrees can be categorised as basic or first professional degrees.
Post graduate degree, which is equivalent to a Master of Science in the European university system, is obtained after two years of graduate studies and aims to provide rigorous, advanced training in specific sectors.
A Postgraduate Diploma is considered academically over the level of a Bachelor's, but under a Master's level. A Postgraduate Diploma can normally be started after the completion of a Bachelor's degree and is typically completed in one year or less.
Diploma programs typically take 1-2 years to complete, and you earn a certificate after completing one particular course of study and upon passing the course’s final exam. Diploma programs usually take less time and money than earning a degree
Certificate Program are shorter and generally more affordable than degree programs. They are typically eight to twelve months in duration. They are geared towards adult students and those who are looking for short-term training leading to immediate employment. Certificate admission requirements depend on the school and program. Additional requirements may include English language skills, basic math and technology proficiency.
